It’s finally that time to pack away the swimsuits and the short shorts and start making our outfits a little bit cozier. Chunky Sweater Season, if you will………… PSYCH! I live in LA, which means we unfortunately don’t really get a quote-on-quote “fall.” But that’s not going to stop me from pretending like the leaves are changing colors and the air is getting crisper. Because even if it’s still 80 degrees outside, pumpkin spice is in the air and I’m ready to change my wardrobe.
In honor of this beautiful new season starting, I wanted to share my top tips for transitioning your summer looks into fall ensembles. First up, my favorite way to take a summer trend and make it work for fall: cold shoulder tops.
For this look, I wanted to keep it light and airy with a white top (as you may remember, I had a big thing for wearing white this spring, and that’s still the case no matter the season). As an ode to fall, I paired my white cold shoulder top with a darker pair of denim. The evergreen pair of black platform sandals were the perfect way to complete the look and give it a little height. So in conclusion: I present a Fall look perfect for LA weather. If I’m feeling really crazy, maybe I’d bring a light sweater on my outing, just in case.
Check out my other favorite summer to fall staples below and let me know if you’re implementing any this season!
